Carbon Dioxide Absorption Using Different Solvents (MEA, NaOH, KOH and Mg(OH)2) in Bubble Column Reactor

The aim of this research is to reduce emissions by capturing carbon dioxide in a solution using an absorption method. capacity, rate, removal efficiency, and overall mass transfer coefficient MEA (Monoethanolamin) alkaline solvents (NaOH, KOH, Mg(OH)2) were investigated bubble column gas reactor with counter current flow. effects operational parameters such as solvent concentration (0.01, 0.05, 0.25M) type studied. As result the study, it was determined that Mg(OH)2 less effective CO2 than NaOH, MEA. For all types, total coefficient, efficiency increased increase solvent. from 0.01 M 0.25 obtain highest KGa values for MEA, 3.75 1/min 3.70 3.93 KOH.The KOH rates maximum at concentrations 0.19x103 mol/Ls. efficiencies are greater 60%. 0.576 mol CO2/mol obtained 0.01M
